Within the EU-funded project "Improving Access to Employment and Social Protection for Palestinian Refugees Living in Lebanon", the ILO Regional Office for Arab States in Beirut in partnership with the Committee for Employment of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon (CEP) had held an experts’ meeting that presented and discussed the financial assessment on the cost of providing health care coverage under the National Social Security Fund for Palestinian refugees working in the formal economy and the legal proposals developed in collaboration with the Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC) relevant to the legal amendments of law 128/2010.

The objective of the meeting was to have a focused and scientific deliberations over the health care coverage of Palestinian refugees. A number of practical options and legal proposals were recommended in light of the financial assessment results to provide fair health care coverage for Palestinian workers and their families in Lebanon.
