CEP Legal Conference "The Right to Work for Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon: Problems and Solutions"

Funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Norwegian People’s Aid, NPA

The CEP held a follow up Legal Conference titled "The Right to Work for Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon: Problems and Solutions" on February 15, 2010 at the Riviera Hotel under the Patronage of H.E. Dr. Tarek Mitri, Minister of Information, and with the support of the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA).

The Conference widened the debate on legal change, as it included representatives of major Political Parties, Civil Society Organisations, Labour Unions, international organizations, with the objective to present options to decision makers for solutions to allow formal participation of Palestinian refugees in the Lebanese labour market. A Legal Working Group was selected to follow up on the Conference's recommendations.
