Funded by European Union
The ILO Regional Office for Arab States in Beirut, in association with the CEP (Committee for Employment of Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon), has put on track an EU-funded project, “Improving Access to Employment and Social Protection for Palestinian Refugees Living in Lebanon,” with the purpose of achieving two specific objectives:

2. Advocate, through dialogue and at grassroots levels, for legislative and policy changes in relation to access to employment, social protection and decent work.
The project duration is 24 months, during which, it aims at realizing a set of activities that involve the execution of a labour force survey among Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, elaborating elements for a social protection strategy including practical policy options for social security to Palestinian refugees, implementation of a media campaign on employability issues related to Palestinians in addition to supporting the CEP and concerned CSOs to expand their monitoring and advocacy capacity relevant to the right to work for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
