CEP organizes a training Session in Saida
CEP organized, in collaboration with the Resource Centre for Employment Promotion and Social Protection (R-CEP) and The Lebanese Observatory for the Rights of Workers and Employees, and the support of the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA), a training session on 27 and 28 September 2013 in the hall of Ahlouna in Hilaliya - Saida In order to promote awareness of trade union's role among Palestinian youth and build networks to monitor and follow up on the labor violations.

LPDC organizes a Seminar to discuss the legal study on the “How to facilitate the registration of Palestinian Associations in Lebanon at the Official Authorities: the Right of the Palestinians and the Duty towards the Host Country.
Within the scope of the legal strategy of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee and in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, the LPDC Chairman, Dr. Khaldoun el Charif held a meeting to present the study by Dr. Paul Morcos and a team of researchers on “How to facilitate the registration of Palestinian Associations in Lebanon at the Official Authorities: the Right of the Palestinians and the Duty towards the Host Country."

LAU hosted a Screening and discussion of the “Someone like me…” documentary
The Director of UNRWA Affairs in Lebanon, Ms. Ann Dismorr, in partnership with the Lebanese American University, LAU MEPI Tomorrow’s Leadership Program and the Social Sciences Department, organized a screening of the documentary “Someone like me…”
The screening was followed by an Expert Panel Discussion moderated by Dr. Tamirace Fakhoury, with the participation of Ms. Ann Dismorr, and Consultants Edward Kattoura, Dr. Ziad el Sayegh, and Me. Elias Moukheiber.

CEP & ILO organized an expert meeting to Discuss The Financial Assessment of the Cost of Providing Health Care Coverage for Palestinian Refugees and the Legal Obstacles of law 128/2010
Within the EU-funded project "Improving Access to Employment and Social Protection for Palestinian Refugees Living in Lebanon", the ILO Regional Office for Arab States in Beirut in partnership with the Committee for Employment of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon (CEP) had held an experts’ meeting that presented and discussed the financial assessment on the cost of providing health care coverage under the National Social Security Fund for Palestinian refugees working in the formal economy and the legal proposals developed in collaboration with the Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC) relevant to the legal amendments of law 128/2010.

Experts Meet in Beirut for Discussion on Region’s Youth
"Researchers, academics and experts gathered in Beirut, Lebanon last week for a two-day workshop to discuss the latest findings regarding youth employment, education, entrepreneurship and related issues. The event was co-organised by Silatech and the Middle East Youth Initiative (MEYI) and was hosted by the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut…‘The Social-Economic Situation of Middle East Youth on the Eve of the Arab Spring’ focused on the region’s rapidly changing social, political, and economic landscapes, and analysed events leading up to and during the early days of the Arab Spring…Participants at the workshop also discussed knowledge gaps in our understanding of youth issues and exchanged ideas on future topics for research consideration, as well as how to communicate their findings to the region’s policy makers in order to maximise impact and most effectively benefit youth…”
