National Training of Trainers on “Advocacy and Lobbying for Social Inclusion from a Youth Policy Perspective in Lebanon”
“UNESCO Office in Beirut in close coordination with the National Youth Forum is organizing a 4-day training workshop on advocacy skills, targeting 35 young non-governmental and civil society organisations’ leaders and officers, to raise their awareness of National Youth Policy and build their capacity in advocating…The trained young men and women will be organizing 26 awareness raising sessions at 26 high schools throughout Lebanon.”

CEP/LPDC Collaboration
CEP representatives - including the Chair Ambassador Samir El Khoury (Lebanese Civil Society), the Vice Chair Ms. Wafa El Yassir (Palestinian Civil Society), Ms. Samira Salah (Palestinian Liberation Organization), Me. Carole Mansour (UNRWA), and Ms. Sawsan Masri (ILO) - met with the President of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC), Dr. Khaldoun el Sharif on July 17. The CEP extended its best wishes to the newly appointed President and discussed with him the future means of cooperation.

At a Press Conference, held on Wednesday July 11, 2012 at the Grand Serail, the newly appointed President of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, Dr. Khaldoun el Sharif, outlined his broad plans for activating the role of the LPDC in the future, in addition to a number of measures aimed at improving the Lebanese-Palestinian relations.

PM Mikati Sponsors Handover Ceremony at Serail
As posted on His Excellency’s official website, “Prime Minister Najib Mikati sponsored a ‘handover’ ceremony on Monday morning at the Grand Serail between former President for Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee Ambassador Abdel Majid Qassir and new President Khaldoun el Sharif. PM praised the efforts achieved by Qassir in fulfilling his mission, in boosting Lebanese-Palestinian's rapprochement and in solving a number of cases. Mikati stressed that the Lebanese cabinet cares for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, particularly concerning social and human aspects, in addition to security and political files…”
